The College of Law’s National Environmental Law moot court team, composed of Parker Azziz, Katie Doran and Jennifer Dusenberry, advanced to the semifinal round of nine teams in this year’s competition at Pace University Law School. Seventy-seven teams competed in three preliminary rounds. Azziz was recognized as best oral advocate in one of the preliminay rounds. Twenty-seven teams advanced to the quarter-final rounds, where UT Law bested two excellent teams from Columbia and Rutgers. In the semis, the team lost to the eventual winnner from Ole’ Miss. “This is a spectacular performance given the high level of competition and the exceeding complexity of the problem,” said coach Dean Rivkin. “The three should be congratulated for their hard work.”
