At the recent NALP Annual Education Conference, Karen Britton, director of admissions, financial aid, and the Career Center, was appointed to the NALP Past Presidents Council, which will have a formal role in NALP’s next long-range strategic planning process.
Britton will continue as a member of the Lawyer Career Pathways and Satisfaction Work Group, which is designing a research protocol to measure law school graduate employment status and career satisfaction on an annual basis at three and seven years post-graduation. UT was one of twenty law schools whose 2010 graduates were asked to identify levels of satisfaction with aspects of their current jobs and satisfaction with law school skills-based preparation. Results of the beta test will be used by the group to refine the research protocol for the national launch this summer. UT Law will receive individual school results as well.
